'Need help' resource.lua / Force Downloading

Soo i’ve setup a DarkRP server, Made a ‘resource.lua’ file inside ‘lua/autorun/server’ i’ve setup some downloads.

I join my server, it downloads all those things, when i get into the server, I get errors as the playermodel :/.

I’ve been searching forever to find a fix, Noone got it, Soo please, many people is in need of help on this, If you got the information we need, Why not share it?.

Make sure your sv_downloadurl is set up correctly if at all, the .vmt files are pointed at the correct files, and the net_maxfilesize is not smaller than the file size.

The ‘sv_downloadurl’ is setup correctly, But i dontknow about the ‘net_maxfilesize’ Do i just put that in ‘config.cfg’ and then like ‘sv_maxfilesize 50’?, or what :P.

Try putting “net_maxfilesize 64” in your server’s config file.

for non-FASTDL ~ makes it so bigger files will be downloaded
net_maxfilesize 64

that’s what i use in my network.cfg, granting that the server has the files, FASTDL doesn’t have a maxsize

resource.add vmt, automatically adds vtf
resource.add mdl, automatically adds all other model parts

though i believe you have to say resource.add for bumpmaps and whatnot

if not maxfilesize, more than likely the SetModel(‘directory’) is wrong, double check your downloads folder to see if the model even installed at all

Soo basicly i just put the
net_maxfilesize 64
Into ‘network.cfg’ and then thats setup?.

And about the ‘SetModel(‘directory’)’, What exacly do you mean by that, i know what you mean by the ‘directory’ but 'SetModel()?.

Does it “redownload” the files each time you join? or just once?

He means the Lua which is setting the player models is provided with the incorrect path.

Yes it ‘redownloads’ everytime :S.

fastdl is set up wrong then

Could you then tell me how to set it up?, Instead of just telling me its setup wrong…
