need help with a model

i’m making a model but it has no skin

the materials are in materials/models/props

and my qc:

$modelname “props/cuby.mdl”
$model “Body” “cuby.smd”
$lod 15
{
replacemodel “cuby” “cubylod1”
}
$lod 35
{
replacemodel “cuby” “cubylod2”
}
$lod 60
{
replacemodel “cuby” “cubylod3”
}
$cdmaterials “models\props”
$texturegroup skinfamilies
{
{ “cuby.vmt” }
{ “cuby2.vmt” }
{ “cuby3.vmt” }
}
$hboxset “default”
$hbox 0 “kHED” -19.800 -19.800 -19.800 19.800 19.800 19.800
// Model uses material “cuby.vmt”
// Model uses material “cuby2.vmt”
// Model uses material “cuby3.vmt”
$surfaceprop “metalpanel”
$keyvalues { prop_data { “base” “Metal.small” } }
$illumposition -0.000 0.000 -0.001
$sequence idle “idle” ACT_IDLE 1 fps 30.00
$collisionmodel “phymodel.smd” {

$concave
$mass 40.0
$inertia 1.00
$damping 0.10
$rotdamping 0.00

}

and my vmt:

“VertexLitGeneric”
{
“$baseTexture” “models\props\cuby”
}

can anyone help me please =( ?

Not sure, but try changing

$cdmaterials "models\props"

to

$cdmaterials "models\props\"

Also, you don’t have to write out the .vmt, .mdl or .smd extensions in the qc file.

Also,

$model "Body" "cuby.smd"

should be

$body studio "cuby"

i tried it but it didn’t work
the qc file is only a edited verson of a original decompiled
i don’t know if this is important

Do you actually have the righ texture path? In the VMT as well.

i think they are right

Did you apply a material called “cuby” to the model in the modeling program you used?

i don’t know how but
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
it WORKS!!!
thanks for your help =D

now you are heroes ;D

…what do I do now?

…with the thread???
