Need Help with blender!

Hi guys, i’m new here so excuse me if this question is in the wrong place.
So, me and a friend of mine are working on a g-mod project, and he needs me to make him a playermodel.
I’m very familiar with modeling, so that part wont be an issue (I’m using blender btw) :smiley:
However, he needs it rigged, I’m assuming there is a right way to rig a character for g-mod, but I’m having a hard time finding any reference or tutorials on this, so how should I do it? should I take a random player model, delete everything but the bones and go from there with the modeling?

You could do what you said and get a reference from another model, or, you could manually create the bones and attach the mesh. Here’s some reference:
