Need help with server lag

I’m playing Gmod via Listen server.
The last few days, some of the players have been getting lag spikes like crazy.

while I do have a wide variety of maps, I don’t have much in way of addons.
All I have is Murder, ObjHunt/PropHunt game modes installed.

I also stream live on Hitbox, but that’s never been an issue before.
This used to work great, but now it doesn’t.

Any suggestions?

P.S. I’ve also ran through the idiot test (Ports forwarded, Windows Firewall off[I’m behind a router], A/V is set to game mode, drivers updated, reinstalled Gmod)

sv_maxrate 2500

set it to 128000

should be ok for your internet speed
i dont see sv_maxplayers but but your internet speed should hold 20 -24 comfortably

all he really needs to do is up the sv_maxrate and touch nothing else i would not exactly fuck with a listenserver.cfg to that extent

That setting has worked perfectly. I’m not getting any lag on my end, but some users are complaining that they are getting lag. I’ve never really had this issue before in the past, as I was able to host Gmod, Run Skype AND livestream on Hitbox, with no problem at all.

So, what am I missing?

Get them to screenshot and post their net_graph. Please make sure they use net_graph 4.
