New Issues

So… does the Unity Web Player just not work well with laptops or something? Because I’ve attempted to play Rust on my laptop for the last 8 hours and Unity just crashes.
But when I tried it on my desktop, it started up just fine. Only problem is that my desktop is pretty old and only has 2gb of RAM on it, so I can’t play Rust obviously…

2gb? Woah…
And yes, laptops and integrated cards are NPT supported.

2 gigs? How would you even run minecraft on it?

What does he op have to do with minecraft?

Can you post your laptop make/model? Integrated graphics should be fine for the newish models.

My computer uses 2 gb ram just to work.

then you should upgrade your rig or re-install windows O.o or learn to tweak it :stuck_out_tongue:

2 gb is a lot of use for windows to run XD ( exept if its 64-bit )

It is a 64 bit -.-

LOL I love all of your responses haha! Now you know why I game on my laptop!

My Laptop Specs:

HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC
Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.2GHz
8GB RAM
64-bit OS
and I have Windows 7 Home Premium

Thanks for your help guys!

That should run it fine.

Yeah, it should but the only response I’m getting from others is that the Unity Web Player doesn’t support Integrated GPUs.

Never told us your gpu…

Well I’ve always had this problem when trying to figure out the specs on my GPU…

The only thing I can ever find is this:

Name: Intel® HD Graphics Family
Chip Type: Intel® HD Graphics Family
DAC Type: Internal
Approx. Total Memory: 1696 MB

The rest shouldn’t matter. I’m assuming the DAC Type is my problem.

Yeah integrated cards aren’t for gaming. I’m thinking that’s your problem personally. Not much you can do apart from hunt around and see if you can find a place that’ll upgrade it for you. Laptops are harder to upgrade than desktops but you may get lucky.
