Non-laggy way of attaching a prop to a player

Is there such a thing? I’ve seen in gamemodes such as Underdone, you wear your armour, however when it is worn and there’s quite a few enemies, it will start to lag and your armour will float around behind you. The only way I can think of reducing this lag is by creating clientside entities for everyone to see on the player, would this be a good idea?
