npc not casting shadow

Ok so im making a map with a hallway and a room near the end to the left.
what im trying to do is have the light from the room cast a shadow of the gman onto the wall in the hallway .
The light casts but the gman’s shadow is not in the light.
whats wrong , this is how its set up

0<light 0<npc_gman | light casts to this wall but no gman shadow !

Errr, you will have to use a shadow_controller for that kind of shadow.

Otherwise, an env_projectedtexture acts like a flashlight if you want that kind of shadow! :c00l:
