Objects with envmapped textures are fullbright


I placed an env_cubemap entity in my map, but objects like the water and the revolver are still showing up like they do in the picture. Is there something I have to do besides placing the env_cubemap?

Did you build the cubemaps?

buildcubemaps, in bolth HDR and LDR if u compile it in HDR.

No, that’s probably what’s wrong. I’ll try that later.

That doesnt look fullbright, that looks like it has nothing under it/is tied to func_water_analog.
always have things under the water, and never use func_water_Analog unless you need it and know what you are doing

It’s just reflecting the default cubemap that is generated during compile, derived from your skybox.
