offset physics box problem

Im using maya 2008 and get an offset physics box everytime I spawn a model.
I know that there something else I need to do in maya to make sure the box wont be offset (my friend has 3dsmax and knows that you need to do a thing with the box) please help…

Add a bone and export it with both the reference and the collision?

Did you attach it to the bone? Is the bone named the same on both the reference and the collision?

um no i just created a bone and attached it to both ref and phy
