I’ve been running into bandwidth issues for the past few months trying to play GMod, and I’ve basically narrowed it down to the P2P system. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but due to no isps in my area, I have to tether to my phone, and as you can guess, this burns through my data very fast (90kb/s+). As far as I can tell, the p2p_enabled command doesn’t disable it when set to 0, and won’t save unless put in autoexec or launch options, and even then, P2P services are still on. Narrowing this down to P2P is just mere assumption, but this seems to be a reoccurring pattern for me and any game on Steam with Steamworks P2P.
Just play offline??
Make an issue report here: https://github.com/Facepunch/garrysmod-issues
If you could provide data usage laws showing the issue, that would be great, too.
p2p is still active in singleplayer and even the main menu
I never noticed this yet.
