Phong Help

Well, less explaining here:

I’m from the Blue Portals mod and since Reepblue (the mapper) is also part of the Project Beta team, he was allowed to use the view model for the Portal gun. Because of this, I had to reskin the hand to fit our main character, Victoria. Well, it looks bland. I’ve already applied a normal map to improve it, but there’s still something missing.

Phong/Rimlighting. So, my question is, how can I create a good phong texture that looks good on her skin (she’s black, slightly light skinned)?

NOTE TO ANY ADMIN WHO WILL BAN ME FOR THIS:
I am not asking for a texture. I am asking how to do this.

There is no need for phong texture. Phong is same as envmap env_cubemap
It’s just other type of reflection.

Here is my usual vmt for phong reflectiveness.

And take the “$lightwarptexture” “als/LIGHT” out of it. Since you would have to make it anyways.

Cube maps don’t add rim-lighting or any other thing.
I’m guessing you didn’t even read the original post.
