Player:ScreenFade Help

Wiki page has little or no help, I’m trying to make the players screen fade from black this is my current script:

function GM:PlayerInitialSpawn( ply )
print("Player: " … ply:Nick() … “, has spawned.”)
local blk = Color( 0, 0, 0, 255 )
ply:ScreenFade( 1, blk, 5, 5 )
This is in my init.lua, I’m sure it should be in cl_init.lua but i’m not sure.

If anyone knows how to use this function it’d be great,
Also if they could explain what the first arguement, “number Flags a combination of SCREENFADE enums”, means.

I’ll do a little bit more research on this in a sec, and test some c0d3s for you.

Edit: The function appears to be broken? Or at least I can’t get it to function properly. Only SCREENFADE.Modulate actually makes a difference and it doesn’t even appear to be correctly doing what it’s suppose to.


Ah well, its not that important, was just trying to further my knowledge. Thanks anyway :slight_smile:
