PlayerModel Help

Not sure if this is the right place but I thought I’d give it a shot.

Quick question. If I find a playermodel for GMod in the Steam Workshop that has no hitbox settings (that is, damage is the same regardless of where the model/player is hit), is it possible to add hitboxes to it just with the file downloaded from the Workshop? Or would you need the original files from the artist to do this?

I’m trying to add a headshot hitbox so I can use a specific skin in a TTT server I frequent. (I donated to the server and get an exclusive model but it requires the headshot hitbox for obvious reasons.)

  1. Subscribe to the model on the workshop.
  2. Extract the .gma with GMad
  3. Take the model file and decompile it using Canon’s decompiler so something of the sort
  4. Add the hitboxes
  5. Recompile the .qc using StudioMDL or something of the sort.

Hi. I have a problem with Cannon´s decompiler. When I try to open the model file the program crashes.

Am I the only one with this problem?

Can you recomend me another decompiler to fix hitboxes?
