Players still receiving errors for models

Hello. On my server people are getting errors for playermodels.

http://prntscr.com/3m9syi is a screenshot of the resource file. Nothing seems to be wrong, however they’re still errors for everyone else who isn’t manually subscribed to the content.

Here’s the shop file.

What could possibly be wrong? All of the files are in the proper folder in my server.

Post your sv_downloadurl and the location of the first file. Also, don’t resource.AddFile lua files.

Would this be the sv_downloadurl ? http://ggaming.game.nfoservers.com/server

And what should I do other than resource.AddFile ?

The first .lua file is in my server’s lua/autorun

  1. Whatever you set it to in your server.cfg. That link your posted doesn’t work. You have to have a webserver that hosts the files you want clients to download.
  2. That’s it. You don’t need to send lua files to the client that way.
  3. Put it in lua/autorun/server.

Yea that webserver is the one I’ve been using for tons of other player models and no one seems to be having errors with this. Usually the site loads, but at the moment it isn’t.

http://ggaming.site.nfoservers.com/server/ is working now. Just 10minutes ago it wasn’t. Is it possible that-that was the problem?

If you have that link set to your sv_downloadurl in your server.cfg and you followed my advice above, it should work.

What I do is I put all my files into my server host through FTP. Then I make sure that my .lua file in lua/autorun makes the clients download the files on the way in. People were saying that they downloaded the files but the stuff is still an error, excluding one person who subbed to the content.

And yes, it’s that & always has been.

Did you move the lua file to lua/autorun/server?

I did that as well.

Post your server.cfg in

Set sv_allowdownload and upload to 0. Do you have the model file and the textures in your own server’s directory as well/have it +host_workshop_collection’d? Lastly, you are missing a parentheses here:

Nothing seems to be working. I had people download other models today and they worked fine. I haven’t done anything regarding workshop, only just having them download each individual file as making people download from the workshop never works.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=241187700 It works for me and one other person who already has it. Others, nope. :frowning:

Update: I deleted my addon so that when I joined the files would download. They worked for me, but they don’t work for others.

PROBLEM SOLVED: I asked one of my players to restart GMOD and it worked after that… So I guess this is something on GMOD’s side?

Thanks for your help and time code_gs
