playsound "music box.wav"

THIS IS NOT LUA! THIS IS THE CONSOLE! Although this does not seem fitting for the general discussion.
How do I play a sound in the console with playsound, that has a space in it’s name?
like:
playsound “/customtest/music box.wav” doesn’t work. it tries to play MUSIC.wav or BOX.wav, not music box.wav, also tried:
playsound /customtest/music box.wav, still not working… even tried
playsound /customtest/“music box.wav”

STIIIIIIILL not working! How? Google is no help.

For what purpose do you need do to this?

to play sounds

You should try not having spaces in your files.

Oh wow, I never guessed that.

@OP

Isn’t it play not playsound?

[lua]play “npc/stalker/go_alert2a.wav”[/lua]

Why not use Clientsided Lua to play sounds?

LocalPlayer():EmitSound("path/to/sound.whatever")

because he said “THIS IS NOT LUA! THIS IS THE CONSOLE!”

u can run lua from console

lua_run for k,v in pairs(player.GetAll() ) do v:ConCommand(“play ursound.wav”) end

:v:

He is probably thinking of ulx playsound which is part of ULX.

playsound “/customtest/music box.wav”

or

playsound /customtest/music box.wav

if its a command

if its ulx then

ulx playsound /customtest/music box.wav
