"Please tell a programmer to up VERTEX_BUFFER_SIZE"

I sure hope a programmer sees this. The fact that I was building massive stuff on gm_bigcity could have caused this though.

This is a message to a programmer at VALVE. We can’t do anything about it.

It’s basically the game telling Valve to make the Source engine better.

Let me guess, you went into the void and looked back at the map. Bad idea, that.

i did that on my laptop once and my gpu practically melted :buddy:

This doesn’t happen much anymore on newer computers when you look at the map from the void.

Newer Computers as in 2008+

[editline]01:59PM[/editline]

Also this is the engine basically telling you to fuck off from doing shit you shouldn’t do.

Yeah my laptop was from 2005. :saddowns:

Mines from 2007. I don’t seem to have any problems.

I was just driving around in a wire car with police lights

Short Answer: You blew a fuse in the Source Engine.

Long Answer: That message is meant for a programmer at VALVe, saying the engine was doing too much shit for the current engine variable. In this case, it was trying to render too many vertices (corners) at once, which usually happens with a ton of things being on screen at once. Solution: Don’t try to render so much at once :stuck_out_tongue:

So what you are saying is, PHX+Wire+online play+gm_bigcity = NOOOOOOOOOOOO?

I could have thought of that…

No. What he is saying is the game wants Valve to get off their asses and update the source engine.

Engine error
