Preventing Decay on spike walls

I was wondering how one could prevent such a ting? I know when you build a house or a shack, by opening doors or lighting the bonfire, a timer goes off and prolongs the decay.
But how does it work with spiked walls? Anyone know?

I didn’t know and can only guess, but I think as long as they are connected to a gate or another spike wall (touch it) the timer would be resetted every time you open the gateway.

Yeah I saw the thread, but that’s only regarding if you’re placing the spiked walls ontop of your foundations. I’m more wondering about if you place them around :slight_smile:

place them on a foundation and if ya step on the foundation it resets decay
