printMessage only displaying in console

Whenever I use something like lua_run PrintMessage( HUD_PRINTTALK, “You’re not verified…” ) it only shows up in console for some reason, any idea why this would be?

Could it be my chat-box interfering?

your problem could be your not defining who its printing to, if you code is literally

PrintMessage( HUD_PRINTTALK, "You're not verified..." )

thats only going to print in console
try sending it to the player like

ply:PrintMessage(HUD_PRINTTALK, "You're Not Verified....")

obviously make sure this line is run by something but yes notice the

There’s a global function -

Global.PrintMessage - which applies to all players at once. His code should be working, as I already demonstrated.

What do you mean the chat box? Do you have a custom chat box?

I’m using off scriptfodder as a chat box.

I understand that to send it to one player I use ply:PrintMessage in the script & it only prints to console.

there shouldnt be any problem with that chatbox, i use that chatbox aswell!
