I was trying to port Scarlet from Alpha Protocol and I don’t know what to do with hair texture. When I use “$alphatest” hair looks like dried pasta, when “$translucent” - some strange things happening like on pictures above.
You can try $mostlyopaque in the QC. It sometimes helps with sorting issues. However, often times, having a transparency over another transparency in the Source engine will cause problems.
The best thing you can do is give the hair another material ID and just have two VMT’s one with one without transpacerency both pointing at the same VMF.
