Problem with textures after porting the model.

Hello everyone. I have a small question about porting model.

Straight to business:

I have been porting model from Metro2033 LL, and model looked like perfectly fine in 3D max:

and here what happens if I’m trying to replace DDS texture with VTF, it dosent matter if I do this in 3D max, or just compile model and give it VMT location, result always will be the same:

I used VTF texture only for body, head is still DDS, with VTF it broken in the same way with body.

So its oblivious that something is wrong with textures, but I have no Idea how to fix this problem … also I have no Idea how to work with textures in 3D max, so help step by step would be really helpful.
