Hi. I’m asking for future reference, would an in game procedural generation system in a map be possible? I’m talking very simple, just a bunch of different rooms placed in a random order when a button is pressed. It should be noted I have no experience with hammer whatsoever. Thanks.
If you have no experience you’ll have a hell of a way to go in just the basics of hammer before you start having fun with ideas like that, so my personal favourite tutorial series for beginners would be this one https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-454Fe3dQH1L38FnKkz_O1CqYx6sKaXk
I think I saw a thread on this somewhere… I’ll have a hunt for ya and get back to you
I wasn’t planning to make it, I am just wondering if it is possible.
Sure it’d be possible
My initial instinct would be to use sets of func_brushes getting disabled and enabled through a series of logic_cases. Honestly wouldn’t be very hard for simple random orders of things.
