Python is hiding from Blender

Hey guys, I’m pretty new to modeling, as I only started like a week ago, and decided I’d try to import an .smd to see how I could screw around with it.
I downloaded an .smd import script, but it won’t run, as Blender keeps telling me Python cannot be found.
I’ve tried installing Python several times, the 64-bit version as well as the 32-bit version (I’m on 64-bit Windows 7), but to no avail.

Anyone know what to do about this?

Look first to see whether or not Python scripts actually work. Sometimes Blender doesn’t say it found Python but still runs scripts anyways.

I have tested the script, sadly, it doesn’t work.

I might try installing the 32-bit version of Blender aswell as the 32-bit version of Python and see if that happens to work.

I put the Blender folder into the python folder when I had this problem and it seemed to work (can’t get any scripts to run though, just the program, so see if it works for you).

The program itself runs, but the Python scripts for it don’t, which is pretty annoying.

Is there perhaps a way to point Blender to the Python folder or something?

Well thats exactly the problem I have so let me know if you find a fix ^^
