Quick Question - Getting View Model Material

Is there any way get the material path of my active weapon’s view model (with lua)?

If not I’ll just predefine them in an array and look them up by weapon class. But if there is a better way, I’d appreciate it.

The physical material (wood, metal, etc) or the material as in the texture.

Texture material. Hence the word “path”. :o

Well… The way this works is once the make the view model for the swep you can’t really get the texture off of it unless you decompile it and grab it yourself. The best thing I could find for you is this :http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Material

Not what I was looking for but thank you for trying. I’ll just manually look them up in the GCF and store them in my script.
