Quick question

Pardon me if it sounds horribly nooby, but here goes:

In Hammer, for the source engine, a light that is exposed to the ‘void’ will ‘leak’, and cause part of the render to fail, will the same thing happen in Maya during a compile? Do you need to seal off a section to allow the model to compile?

Last of all. is there a better place to ask about this?

That’s alright, you can leave empty spaces. Just leave them in places you can’t see because you’ll be able to see inside (or more like through) the model from that point.
