[RELEASE] Fallout 3 and New Vegas Weapons

I started working on this about 6 months ago, and I sort of took a break till about 2 weeks ago, so here I have a wip thread of about 200+ weapons.

Models taken from Fallout: 3, Fallout 3: Broken Steel, Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta, Fallout 3: Point Lookout, Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage, Fallout 3: The Pitt, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout New Vegas: Honest Hearts, Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road, Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money, Fallout New Vegas: Old World Blues, and plenty of mods from Nexus Mods Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3

I take no credit in the original models, I simply converted them to the source format. All rights are to Bethesda.

So far I have a total of: 234 Weapons. 434 MB uncompressed. 214 MB compressed.

This is impressive. I myself have only done a very brief playtest, but I like these a fair amount.
I saw an error here or there, but they didn’t impede the performance of the guns. I’ll go find them if I have time; for now, I’m back from Thailand and need to adjust to Central Time Again :D.

I… I think I’m in love.

You should separate it into packs on the workshop e.g. pistols, rifles, melee weapons, mod pack 1 etc so that It’s easier for people and server owners to get content without having to download the whole massive pack.

There are two parts, I think that’s easy enough.

why didnt you use the new hands included with gmod

I didn’t really think about it at the time and didn’t want to try my hands into learning to make animations.

Very impressive, looks awesome.

Finally decided to start working on them again. I know its not the greatest but atleast we have some Fallout sweps. I just finished 109 with about 110 left to go. I pretty much did all the basic shooting weapons, still need all the heavy weapons, grenades, mines, grenade launchers, etc and then it will be done(Jk not really).

Also, I never meant for the reloading animations to be good just acceptable, the only ones that don’t anims are the laser weapons. And I know a few laser weapons do not have ironsights and thats just something within the code, I should be able to fix it. I did aswell see one more problem, where the hands were in the wrong places and that is on me. Thats where I got lazy back in december and just didn’t fix all of them recently. I will go back at the end if I do not forget.

Would you be willing to part with some of the source files for a few of these? I actually am in need of like 2 or 3 specific ones and I think they could be animated better on their own.

Do you mean by giving it actual animations like the source ones? Or give them the source anims through SCK?

Well, like, if there’s moving separate parts on these models (like bolts), it’d be a bit of work but surely they could be adapted to animations that fit some of them. Good example would be the Varmint Rifle and animating them with custom animations for AWP/Scout as seen on Gamebanana, rather than just using stock CSS animations.

Well, they are scripted weapons… so I’m not understanding what your problem is since they do work… but alright.
