Hey there, I’ve recently got myself into Robot wars / Battlebots but on a much smaller scale. I’ve built myself an antweight class robot and did a battle with it, it went surprisingly well considering I just threw it together!
Back on topic though, I need a way to attach the wheels to the gearmotors, So far I’ve been using lego tracks with large adapters (https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/micro-metal-gearmotor-to-lego-axle-adaptor) But they’re much to big for what I need.
The size limit for the robot is 4 inches x 4 inches x 4 inches and these adapters are much to wide. I’m wondering if there’s a way to make an insert with a cutout (A plus shape with the cutout for the gearmotor) or to just model some new wheels.
I’m currently using tracks like this ([#T=C&C=11"]link](http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=x939&name=Tread Small (20 tread ‘links’)&category=[Tire & Tread)) and I’m using these wheels (link). On a quick sidenote, these wheels aren’t toothed and rely on friction to move the tracks. If I were to 3d print some wheels, I’d prefer to have teeth on them.
I’m willing to pay for help if that’s what it will take as I’m really not experienced in modeling in any way shape or form.
If you need any extra information, feel free to ask!
