Rigging CS:S playermodel to CS:GO, aligned all bones to CS:GO bones, now what?

So I’m following a tutorial online (very rough rough rough tutorial just a bunch of text) on how to rig player models from CS:S to CS:GO

At the moment I’ve aligned (somewhat rough, havent rotated) the bones to match the CS:GO ones but then I lose track of what to do after he tells me to link the bones together and ‘play with them and see whats working and what’s not’

Is there a way for me to better align these goddamn bones to eachother (aka put them in the exact same spot/rotation) and what exactly is the next step in the process of rigging a CS:S model to CS:GO’s skeleton or whatever?
