RP_Urbantown is a map that I am making for roleplaying servers. As most maps tend to benefit the players, this map is more based toward being actual people in a town. This map is my first map I have ever made, and so far I’m thinking it will be my most successful. It takes place in an area with stores, homes, apartments, and industrial buildings. Although the area around them changes constantly, the citizens of the Urbantown are a community.

The locations that need names, I would appreciate any suggestions. They will have signs after I get the names.

Small Garage (Needs name.) - **A small garage, with a grass entrance from the outside. There is a car lift on the inside that currently does not work. The owners are debating on paying a mechanic to fix the lift.

Terminal Hotel - **Your typical, small, one night hotel. It is a two star hotel, but it gets enough business to stay open. It has two smaller rooms on the second floor, and the third floorhas the biggest room, which can oversee the small garage, the park, and the pawnshop.

**Grocery Store (Needs name.) - **A medium sized grocery store, with a small or average sized storage room.

Cafe Baltic - **A Cafe with a balcony inside, and a storage room under the balcony.

Pawn Shop (Needs name.) - **A small family owned pawnshop which has a line made, and a sliding tray with bullet proof glass to help with purchases.

Park (Could use a name, it’s very small though.) - ** A small, walk through park that is next to the parking garage.

**Parking Garage - **A small parking garage which has one room on the top of it. It has three stories.

**County Jail (Major graphical update, in my opinion.) - **A medium sized jail with three main rooms, and four jail cells. The jail cells have bullet proof glass and rubber floors. The first room’s main purpose is for reporting crimes. The third room (is currently, possibly turning into more cells) is for showers.

**Twin Shop 1 (Needs name) - **A small shop, positioned by a fountain, and subway entrance.

Twin Shop 2 (Needs name) - **A small shop, positioned by a fountain, and subway entrance.

Sewer Plant - **A small underground sewer room. It has been filled with water due to leaks, but there are no drains to drain the water currently.

Warehouse (Needs name, possibly DHL?) - **A warehouse with one room over looking it. Two doors that open overhead, and a small outside parking lot.

Gas Station - **A gas station, with two older pumps on the outside.

Auditorium - **A medium sized auditorium where the mayor can make a speech, a court can take place, or gang activities can take place.

In the top right corner of the map itself, not the image, you will see a building with a wood floor, and walls. This is a soon to be hotel, or maybe apartments.

He’s been here for almost half a year. Plenty of time to read the sticky.

But he didn’t. That’s the problem.

He had all the time in the world to gather content before creating the thread.

There were no replies because there is nothing to comment on.

This looks very basic. You are missing a LOT of detail all around. The buildings are blocky. Overall it’s just well… boring. Just another basic rp map with hl2 textures. What would you say is there to distinguish your maps from any other rp map? What makes yours special?

As I believe I said in the post, this is just my basic layout. Detail is my last thing to get done. Right now I’m just making it playable, then I’m going to work on details.

Needs more detail, for layout the only thing we’d want to see is dev blocks or a drawing. It’s pretty impossible to critique these pictures because they’re like detail shots of artwork, except there is no detail.

Yeah. I think right now I’m just going to work on detail. And when I started making this I was still a newbie (a few weeks ago <.<) and I didn’t think to do dev. I’m doing all of my newer buildings in it though when I start making them.
