Rust crashes after startup

So i’m on windows 7, first of all regular Rust won’t even launch, but dx9 Rust will, it goes to the configuration “before launch” menu. I click play and It crashes after it says easy anti cheat loaded. The crash error says: “RustClient.exe - Application Error The instruction at 0x7733d036 referenced memory at 0x00000008. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program”. This is driving me nuts and I can’t find a fix. Rust worked on 10 but I hate 10 so I went back to windows 7, I don’t think I have bad sectors on my hdd or memory as it worked before on windows 10.

What i’ve tried so far: Reinstalling Rust, trying a different version of Rust, verifying integrity of game cache, reinstalling windows, clean boot, starting it up in windowed, updated windows and drivers, and putting -force-d3dx9 or -dx9 into the startup options, and there’s no crash folder in my Rust directory. So far, games like Team Fortress 2 and CS:GO work but not Rust.

Update your Windows

I’ve already done that forgot to put that in the text.

Update driver’s?
