Rust is currently unplayable

Uses all my computers Resources, freezes, then crashes…

all i can really say is that they know of the issues, right now they are moving things over to a new engine so things might be very broken for the next week or two

Right now the draw distance is set quite far, and so it’s trying to load everything and its’ great-grandmother’s ashes. garry is aware of the major performance problems this creates and has already said he’s working on it. Also, the transition to Unity 5 is creating fun results as such a major shift can be expected to, on top of the draw distance.

And he said this in the Friday Devblog, so it’s not even fucking hard to find this information. I even made a thread about it in this very subforum and quoted the section about draw distance and performance.
