rust updates mention that hold use is a thing again.... what about the 3d menu they suggested a while ago?

So in the devblog update 34, they mentioned that the game will have the default action played when you press the use key, and holding it brings up a menu. What about the whole thing they had mentioned in the first batch of devblogs where they said that the menu would be 3D? Like-- you look at the object and a menu pops up on the screen that is in front of the object, and you can select the first option or the options under it, and look away from the menu. You control the cursor with your FPS view, so if you’re about to open up a fireplace or something and see something out of the corner of your eye, you can look away quickly without having to de-activate a cursor or anything.

If you still have no idea what I am talking about, it’s KIND OF like Doom 3 / Quake 4’s monitors. You look at the monitor, the gun goes away, and the crosshair turns into a cursor that still operates like the crosshair, then you use the action key to activate the option, and then you pull your gun back out.

Did they abandon this or hold it off or something? Or do they still have this implemented but not in use for the newest stuff?
