./srcds_run: line 372: 3086 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $HL_CMD

It was working fine, but that was an OS ago.
I reinstalled TF2 bin files and that didn’t work.

I’ll try verifying

Reinstalled OS. Still doesn’t work.
Could I be missing a library?

CRASH: Mon Jan 2 10:26:21 MSK 2012
Start Line: ./srcds_linux -game garrysmod -debug
End of Source crash report

Installed GDB.

If you are missing a library you can just do a server patch and it will be downloaded again. But what I can see is that your command line is incomplete, it may be because of that. Try changing the command line to this:

./srcds_linux -console -game garrysmod -debug +map 'gm_construct' -port 27015 -condebug

Tell me if that works. You might wanna remove “-console” from the command line too, since I’m not familiar to Linux Distribution.

./srcds_linux: error while loading shared libraries: libtier0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

EDIT:

Says libtier0.so is missing

libtier0.so is in the bin folder…
remove the bin folder and reupdate? <-- Tried this. Nothing.

Bump :\

I think we need Garry’s help with this. Try contacting him about this.

It seems other people are having this issue.
They seem to have a hotfix for it, but those might be outdated.

Lets try it on 32 bit, shall we?

Yeah, try to.

Should I attempt to symlink
/orangebox/bin/libtier0_s.so

Wait… Whaat? I’m not familiar to Linux so…

Still nothing.
Anyone got any hotfixes?

I have prety much tha same problem. What dist are you on? what install instructions did you follow?
Ill get my server booted and dump it.

This is my output with a fresh install in debug mode according to the guide at http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Linux_Dedicated_Server_Setup

I used the same guide as you,
try running verify_all

I run Ubuntu Natty (11.04) 32bit (Server Edition)

What distro are you running?
That looks like it might work… you probably just need to verify_all

Last bump.
:\

Sorry for self-bumping many times, but this is getting frustrating.
Any help at ALL would be appreciated.

Having the same problems, I have tried these operating systems and the problem persists on all of them:
CentOS
Debian
Ubuntu

I had a bad feeling when I chose a Linux VPS isntead of Windows, last time I tried to run a source dedicated server on a Linux box it didn’t go so well either.

Fixed it! Just added a patch that garry had released on dropbox

-snip-

link me?

I tried this, worked. Not fully tested though
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1148247

Bingo!
I need to update an OS!

Thank you so much joo!
