server.cfg

can someone tell me what the server.cfg is supposed to look like. I just got a server and i cant change the gamemode because the server.cfg has nothing in it but the rcon pass and name. If someone could just copy n paste theirs or something and put it up that would be much appreciated because our server is stuck on sandbox =[

What does the server.cfg have to do with the sandbox gamemode?. You can set the default gamemode through command line on startup or even use a command to change in the game through rcon.

How do i do that?

Check the wiki.

All of my stuff is in autoexec.cfg…

Should be in server.cfg.

It depends on the commands inside the config. If you put the map command in server.cfg, you’ll have a perma loop.

You can have a perma loop from a server.cfg entry? How’s that one work?

When a map loads, the server executes server.cfg.

Right, but how’s that cause a loop?

Server.cfg has the command to load the map, map loads, server.cfg executes again and the cycle repeats.

Hm, mine doesn’t. Mine’s in the batch file.

Eum i use this server.cfg, its awsome use it! :
