SetRunSpeed

I’m trying to use http://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/Player/SetRunSpeed
to change the players run speed, in my init.lua I have:

function GM:PlayerInitialSpawn( ply )
ply:SetRunSpeed( 320 )
print( ply:GetRunSpeed() )
end
[/lua]

Which prints 320 into my console, however the run speed is still 250 after spawning.


function GM:PlayerSpawn( ply )
    ply:SetRunSpeed( 320 )
    print( ply:GetRunSpeed() )
end
