Single Player Map that I've been working on

This originally was for a Single player mapping contest, but I didn’t want to release it really unpolished so I dropped out. Anyway four months later; working on and off I finally finished it. The map takes place after you stepped in Kleiner’s teleporter and when it went haywire instead of you teleporting outside of Kleiner’s lab you end up in another part of town a couple days later.

I expect there to be bugs or needs of improvement so if you have a suggestion or see a problem I would like to hear it.

Anyway here’s the download

It looks nice, but far too empty and blocky. Make your buildings less square and add decals and props for detail. Also try to improve your 3D skybox, it’s good so far but if you added some more distant buildings it’d make the map feel more immersive.

It looks like a really really good start! As TCB said, focus on detailing. Add detail brushes to your geometry to make it feel like everything is real not textures on cubes and rectangles.
Keep up the good work!

You have any suggestions on how to lower the light intensity? I’m using spot light but the lights still look like balls of light and I can barely see the model for the lights.

In the light_spot properties, turn the fourth number down. The first three numbers are RGB values and the third is light intensity/brightness.

Could you post a picture? I think I know what you’re talking about, but I want to make sure.

Oh hey i remember this map! Your the one that asked for help with the strider! And i helped you out! I´ll certainly will play the level!
