SMD Plugins Not Working With 3DS Max 2010?

I got 3ds max 2010 edition, and I downloaded Cannonfodder’s smd import plugin. (From http://www.chaosincarnate.net/cannonfodder/cftools.htm) I put the plugin in the plugins folder, but when I load 3ds max, I get an error that says,

“DLL <C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds max 2010\Plugins\smdimp.dli> failed to intialize. Error code 193 - %1 is not a valid Win32 application.”

I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. Any ideas?

Does that for me as well. I haven’t had any problems though

Holy Crap! I just checked and apparently it is under the list of file types that I can import, even though I still get that error. Well, thanks… for at least replying…

Are you trying to use a Windows 64 bit plugin on a 32 bit system?

It doesn’t even matter, it works, right? So, I could honestly care less.

I’d go with Wunderboy’s plugins. They work just fine on 32-bit and 64-bit for all recent versions of Max.
