Smoothing groups not compiling correctly?

I’m using Jed’s GUIStudioMDL to compile models. I tick the “Orange Box engine” circle, and when I compile the smoothing groups do not appear in-game. This happens even when just decompiling and recompiling a model. Everything looks fine in 3ds max, so I can only conclude it’s something in the compiling process.

Nevermind, I was completely retarded and missed the smoothing groups in 3ds max. Why the hell did I think they were fine before? Anyway, it works perfect now.
