Some brushes change lighting when you look in certain directions

Some of my brushes (mostly walls and my rock cliff) are having a weird lighting glitch. In game, when you look in certain directions or move to certain places, they become abnormally bright or dark. It’s really obvious and kills the atmosphere.
How can I fix this?

Stop using model textures!

then edit and rename the vmt and remove the model key, then use your new custom material.

Where are Left 4 Dead vtf/vmt files? I’m not used to the new ncf system.

Use GCFScape to open “pak01_dir.vpk” in “…\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead”.
