Sony Vegas - Making a video fit the project

Hey. I’ve recorded some footage. The footage is higher resolution than the project (The project / display is 1280x720, the video is 1024x768, I can make the footage much higher resolution if needed though).

How can I get the footage to fit nice and snuggly into the project / display, without any letterbox’s?

You can also try to pan and crop your footage.

There’s an option before rendering to make it fill in the letter box.
