srcds dedicated server WAN?!?

I have a Garrys mod dedicated server and I wanted it NOT to be LAN. I have in the server.cfg file : sv_region 255 (worldwide), sv_lan 0 + other commands. I went also on the router and forwarded ALL the ports (27000 to 27050, and 27015, ect.). And I have a friend in Florida (im in CA) and he STLL cant connect to it. It seems to be ONLY on the LAN. Please help! Im running out of ideas. Thanks.

You need to forward your ports:

Oh, and try typing heartbeat on the dedicated server console.

I already forwarded the ports, and i tried heartbeat, i tried everything (i think).

i need help!!

Usually I see “VAC Protection Enabled” or something like that when it finishes loading if my server is connecting correctly.

If you don’t see that you might want to check your firewall and ports again.

Also, if your server is on the same network as you, any friends you want to join will need to connect via ip. http://www.whatsmyip.org/
If they try connecting from the friends list or by an invite, it will say Not Responding.

The console command is “connect <ip>”
