Steampipe SMD to Mdl

Ok,

I formatted my computer and i installed the recent versions of all source games
Once i Attempted to Recompile a MDL. I recieved This Error


WARNING: Warning: falling back to auto detection of vproject directory.

2. Run vconfig to specify which game you're working on.

This Error Has Been Replicated by:

  • Making a Bat File With the Executables
  • Dragging And Dropping the File on The .EXE
  • Running the CMD Through Notepad++

What Ive Tried:

  • Using the Other studiomdl.exe in my hl2 common folder
    – Common/counterstrike/Css
    – Source SDK 2013 sp
  • manually adding the Gameinfo.txt to the Dir.
    Moving a Copy Of Hl2 to my Steamapps/(name)/

I attempted to Do Sevral diffrent things.

This Is becoming Very anoying and I wish i never formatted to keep my old setup of SDK

And Help Would Be WONDERFUL

I’m compiling in notepad++ with


"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\bin\studiomdl.exe"  -game "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\usermod" -nop4 -r "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"

but you’ll want to change the -game directory to whatever output you’re shooting to find the compiled .mdl in, like “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\ep2”

Got Another Error

That error is the compiler not being able to find “Ref.smd”
I assume the file path is incorrect OR you mistyped the file name.
