Stop Hurt Sounds from playing

Anyway to stop the hurt sound from playing whenever you get hurt in a certain way for example

when I use GM:EntityTakeDamage and scale the damage to 0 the hurt sound still plays

Block the damage event in that function instead of scaling it to 0.

How would I block the damage instead of scaling it?

Look at the return value.
