As far as I am aware yes it still works. Make sure it’s placed in the notepad++ API directory, restart np++ and select the lua or gmod lua language.
I think there’s two versions as garthex created a gmod plugin for the colour highlighting, so if you have that make sure you download the right auto complete api file.
Are you sure in np++ preferences that auto function completion is turned on?
Please note that this is rather out of date and won’t have any of the latest function names in it. I’m pretty sure you won’t be banned if you post in the thread provided it is a legitimate question/request although you did the right thing PMing me too.
Have you thought about making a thread in the lua help section, linking my thread, and ask if some one can generate an up to date file? The way I made that plugin was just a few lines of code grabbing every function from within the game and the. Outputting it to a text file, very simple stuff for people in the lua section.
If you’re really lucky, some one might make a wiki parser to scrape the functions along with parameter info and description that can be used to aid what attributes are required and what each function does from within np++.
If you don’t understand the above quote this pm in a thread and tell them to check out the np++ wiki on creating an autocomplete file. It’s very easy to do.
I’m sorry for the 2+ day wait, I usually check emails every 12 hours.
