Texture wont work on custom model.

I decided to start making some custom models for gmod with google sketchup. So to start I decided to just make a simple block so that I could get the process of moving it from google sketchup to gmod down. So i made my block and exported to the smd format. Then I used a default QC File (view below) and guistuidomdl to compile it. I got it compiled and loaded into gmod but the texture does not show up.

$modelname “models\Keebler_Elf\Block.mdl”
$body mybody “Block.smd”
$staticprop
$surfaceprop plastic
$cdmaterials “materials\models\Keebler_Elf\White”

$sequence idle “Block.smd” loop fps 15

$collisionmodel “Block.smd” { $concave }

I’m pretty sure you have to put quotes around the string shit things. Like this:

“$modelname”<TAB>models\Keebler_Elf\Block.mdl

I dont beleive that makes a difference because the code works to compile my model the textures just do not work.

$modelname	"Keebler_Elf\Block.mdl"
$body mybody	"Block.smd"
$staticprop
$surfaceprop	plastic
$cdmaterials	"models\Keebler_Elf\White"

$sequence idle	"Block.smd" loop fps 15

$collisionmodel	"Block.smd" { $concave }

Assuming you did everything else right, that will fix it.
