I was wondering is there a 2 sided texture feature? Meaning the texture will render on both sides of the object its applied to. For instance a flat plane. That way you don’t have to close off the inside of the model. For instance. A lamp shade.
You can add “$nocull 1” to your VMT, or in your modeling program you can just duplicate the faces and flip the normals on the duplicate.
Generally, I’d suggest the latter as $nocull can result in some lighting errors.
Damn, I am just trying to cut down the triangle count because of course I want everything to be efficient for users. But if $nocull will cause issues. I mise well not fool with that.
EDIT: Is there also a feature that allows light to emit thru a texture. Yet not make the texture transparent?
