Tf2 Custom model vanishes from a distance

Just recently finished my first customized model for one of the classes but once playing in game, I notice the model vanishes after moving away a few steps. It’s only when I’m close by it does it remain fully intact. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

It may be a problem with your LODs.

What SergerantJoe said you could try r_lod 0 r_rootlod 0 to force the engine to draw the highest lod (level of detail). It could also have something to do with the draw distance try setting the fade to 0 via cl_detailfade 0

I went ahead and resorted to a different assortment of files for the qc and it looks like it fixed the problem. Overall I was having trouble with the model in general with the textures. Thanks for your input though. I’ll keep those in mind whenever I happens again.
