but after its finished compiling, windows says “Vrad” has stopped working, closes,then the game starts up and closes saying “Engine Hunk Overflow!”. How do I fix that?

It makes a bloody great mess of your map, thats what it does. It is considered a sin for a mapper to carve.

Carve can be very useful if used very correctly.

Yeah it can be, but somehow some people are convinced that carve was made to carve a cylinder into a square.
