Tool Gun lags game

Whenever I take out the Tool Gun, it lags horrendously. Not much to say here, but is there a fix?

I’m running Linux Ubuntu, which runs GMod x20(literally) faster, except for this little bug.

Any way to fix this?

List your computer specs.

I’m not completely sure how to get my specs on Ubuntu, but, here’s my lspci, if it’s any use:

I do know that my RAM is 2gb, that’s about it.

Problem found.

Oh don’t be so bi est. Linux is a great OS and people that use it are most of the worlds smartest minds. Unfortunately I still can’t seem to find a solution to you problem but when I do I will share. sorry for now :frowning:

O RLY?

I highly doubt that you can verify that with 100% accuracy.

bumpp

Does anyone have any advice? :c

Computer specs, not controller specs

Wow, you know not everyone likes Windows or Mac. People like Linux too and people should just leave there opinions up to themselves. I’m a Windows user and have been for a while but most of my friends use linux and play gmod. So lets stop with all this OS non-sense and answer this poor guys question shall we?

If anyone has anything to even try, I’ll do it.

If you installed any recent addons delete them but you really have to find a way to list your specs or no one can help you.

This isn’t a recent thing, it’s the game.

I want to find my specs too.

What I know now is:

3gb RAM
Intel GM965/GL960 Intergrated Graphics Controller
Ubuntu 9.04

I reaaally want to find a way to see my graphic memory. I’ve wanted this for a long time now…

Bump.

I just posted this on the Ubuntu forums, the Wine forums, and a few others. I want this fixed :v:

That is a good idea what you did but also you should try to update ubuntu to the now 9.10 unless you have some feelings for 9.4. I say this because the new ubuntu may have better drivers for your hardware and it might just fix your game.

Pulseaudio wouldn’t work in 9.10, so when I deleted it I had a whole lot of sound problems, mainly with games.

What if I changed the model, removed the banner, or something like that?

If I can, tell me how, and I’ll try.

Ya you can try that but every skin for it has the banner.

I wondered that because the little screen on the toolgun is black… That means something, rite? :expressionless:

badump…

I wish I knew what was causing it to lag.

Try installing it but following this guide very well also I really need to see your computer spec.
