Toybox Tutorials?

Wouldn’t it be nice if in the next Cloudscript update you could add Toybox tutorials on the GMod menu? To teach people how to download, comment, report on a bug and tell them the best Toybox addons.

And have someone, like a character or something, be this tutorial dude with a name like Toybox Ted. Or something like that.

Toybox Turd.

The Toybox menu is fairly self explanatory.

Lots of people may not understand ALL the functions it has. A video may explain all of them.

You click on a entity and it gives you it.

what if they want to know how to make a swep but doesn’t want to ask on the forum.

Making swep requires knowledge in lua. You don’t have to read the forum to learn lua but you do have to read other documentation.

Toybox doesn’t need tutorials any more than normal entity and weapon menus do. Click the tab, click the thing you want, done. It is actually more complicated to watch a tutorial for it.

Does anyone know how to fix my proxy server? Theres something wrong with it and i dont know how to fix it ;C

what is wrong with it?

Make a thread in Technical Support or Hardware and Software.

It’s so easy to use CS.

It’s not hard to understand.

For ToyBox weapons, go to ToyBox -> Weapons while playing, and then choose if you want the most popular or newest ones.
Hover over the weapon to rate it or favorite it.
Click the weapon to obtain it.
Click the name of the weapon if you want to leave a comment, see the coding, or see the files the weapon is composed of.

For ToyBox entities, go to ToyBox -> Entities while playing, and then choose if you want the most popular or newest ones.
Hover over the entity to rate it or favorite it.
Click the entity to spawn it.
Click the name of the entity if you want to leave a comment, see the coding, or see the files the entity is composed of.

To see your favorites, click “Favorites” and you’ll be shown a list of entities and weapons you’ve favorited.

For ToyBox maps, go to the Start Menu -> Start New Game -> ToyBox and then choose if you want the most popular or newest ones. You’ll also be able to choose maps by their category, which appears in a pink bar right under the top blue bar.
Hover over the map to rate or favorite it.
Click the map to download it. Once it’s been downloaded, you’ll permanently have that map to use whenever you want. You can delete it by going into your garrysmod\garrysmod\maps directory.
Click the name of the map to comment on it or see what files the map is made of. (9 out of 10 times the map will just be a file ending in .bsp and that’s it.)

That’s the basics to know unless you want to upload something.

There should be a way to make fan tutorial videos, and maybe they can be uploaded to the tutorials section on the main menu.

What if it told you how to upload THINGS WITH MULTIPLE LUA FIELS.
