"Trigger" and "Static Brush" Entities - Bunnyhop Gamemode

I decided to pick up an old Bhop gamemode that I was working on a little while ago and I didn’t want to revive my old thread.

My goal is still to create different “difficulty” levels. So the amount of time you’re allowed on a platform before you get teleported back depends on your difficulty.
Would this be possible by just replacing the trigger entities with static brush entities and then doing some timer shenanigans? When it comes to mapping and world entities I have little to no knowledge.

I’m fairly certain I would be okay if I could stop the player from teleporting back and making that happen myself based on a timer. Perhaps it would be possible to stop the platfrom from moving at all?
